The accountancy business was formed by Atholl Scott some 35 years ago, with a core of farming clients. Atholl is still involved in the business today, although he has handed the reins as senior partner to his son Adam, who runs the firm from the Aberdeen office. With the business remaining in family hands, the personal touch has been maintained and this, combined with a professional approach, ensures an unrivalled service to clients throughout the North East of Scotland and beyond. All aspects of business are dealt with, from book-keeping and accounts preparation to advice on taxation and negotiations with the Inland Revenue. Additionally, where new legislation such as self-assessment is introduced, full support is given to clients to guarantee that any transition is painless. There are certainly bigger accounting firms around, but Atholl Scott have always believed that quality of service is the most important part of the business.
